About The New Character

He grew up in Brooklyn with two siblings, a younger brother and sister. Both of his parents were teachers; his father, a college history professor, and mother, a music teacher in a local school.  Because of his background, he was always well versed in culture and music...but he especially loved music. He was also interested in things that typical of a young boy: comic books, videogames and skateboarding.  As a young boy, he started getting into hip-hop and writing his own rhymes. This led him from rapping in front of his friends at house parties to performing at local talent competitions. He displayed in his rhymes a style that was both educated and sometimes humorous, without getting too vulgar. Most of his rhymes dealt with typical experiences of a young teen in the streets of New York. It was from one of these talent competitions that he was discovered by a record label and was signed to do his first album.

Fast forward to present day where he is living a life of a successful music artist. His musical style is decidedly urban but incorporates aspects of the various musical genres that his mother exposed him to when he was a child. This sort of diversity in his sound has helped him crossover and attract a diverse following. As an adult, he continues the balanced lifestyle that his parents instilled in him as a child. When he isn't break dancing he's breaking beats in his hip-hop happening downtown studio. He likes sublime times at the opera or with a book, but he's as happy with his action figures and videogames - no two days are ever the same.
